The High School’s Marine Biology class took a trip to the Haystack Rock tide pools to see the marine life that they have been learning about in the classroom. They made the trip on Saturday September 24th and were able to make it during an optimal viewing period so the students could observe the colorful marine life on full display. Marine life in the tide pools can include sea stars, green anemones, crabs, fish, snails, limpets, coral, sponge, and sea slugs. Thank you to Blair Stuhlmuller for making this trip happen after almost two years of no field trips!
The Parkrose Educational Foundation awarded a $600 grant to cover the cost of transportation of this field trip so that price was not a barrier for students to attend.
